Fundamentalz Performing Arts CIC is our not-for-profit community interest company. As advocates of hip hop and street dance, our goal is to provide access to this powerful art form to educate, empower and inspire young people and benefit our local community.
We will provide dance education through outreach programmes, provide free and subsidised classes to reduce barriers to participation for children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds and create and present original hip hop works to increase awareness and understanding of hip hop and street dance.
Any surplus income generated will be reinvested into our programmes.

Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower young people through authentic hip hop and street dance, providing high-quality training in both the technique and the cultural context of the art form.
Based in Central Bedfordshire, where authentic hip hop and street dance culture is underrepresented, we aim to develop the next generation of performers, choreographers, teachers, and creative leaders who understand, respect, celebrate, and sustain this style of dance.
With formal dance education in decline, and hip hop often not included in the dance curriculum, our CIC exists to fill this gap, ensuring that young people from all backgrounds can access dance, and particularly this dynamic and expressive form of dance.
Through our classes, workshops, and outreach programmes, we will teach the foundations, styles, techniques, and expressive possibilities of street and hip hop dance, while encouraging creativity, confidence, wellbeing, and self-expression. Our work will go beyond movement, connecting young people with the wider elements of hip hop culture by collaborating with DJs, MCs, graffiti artists, and other practitioners, helping them develop a holistic and culturally aware understanding of the genre.
We are committed to creating original dance works and performances that educate and inspire audiences, promoting awareness of hip hop as a vibrant, evolving, and socially significant art form.
To ensure genuine access for all, we will provide free or subsidised opportunities for children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds, so that financial circumstances never become a barrier to participation.
Our ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable community hub where street dance and hip hop can thrive alongside collaborative creative projects, a place that nurtures artistic development, cultural appreciation, and stronger, more connected communities, while always respecting and crediting the culture and communities from which hip hop originates.
